Health Info You Should Know

Newborns should get a chiropractic exam as soon as possible. Most of the babies so checked have skull and/or spinal misalignments that can adversely affect nervous system function. Babies who receive chiropractic care tend to be less fussy and sleep better.

One of my newborn daughters had extremely tight, fibrotic muscles around her shoulder blade that took me two weeks of daily care to correct. They were so tight they'd pulled that area of her spine out of alignment. It looked somewhat C-shaped. She had a case of simple scoliosis -- which we corrected with chiropractic and myofascial care. It never returned. Virtually every baby I examine has misaligned skulls and spines. Having helped deliver both my children, it was easy to see how this happens. Ear infections are often caused by upper neck and skull misalignment. Correcting these conditions on infants is usually a simple, gentle process.

Most pro sports and Olympic athletes use chiropractic care to help optimize physical performance. Low level laser or LED therapy, and Frequency Specific Microcurrent therapy, to help speed healing and recovery are also very popular. Nutrition and homeopathy are also increasingly common. I've used these tools for over 34 years to reduce my healing time anywhere from 30-40%, be it whiplash, a broken rib, dental work, sprains, bruises -- whatever.

Cancer rates keep increasing. People have about a 50-50 chance of 'getting' cancer now. Much of it is caused by diet, lifestyle and environmental contaminants. Many plants are known to kill a wide variety of cancer cells, often in numerous ways. One is by apoptosis -- causing cells to self destruct. These plants leave healthy cells alone. Many have been used in traditional Indian and Asian health systems for thousands of years. Biotensegrity research has found that abnormal physical stress and pressure on cells and tissues causes unwanted changes, even to the point of those cells becoming malignant. Removing the abnormal stresses allows the cells to function normally again. Chiropractic and myofascial care are two ways to help insure proper structural alignment and remove abnormal forces on the body and its cells.

Autoimmune disorders like psoriasis, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis tend to have gut flora dysbiosis as an underlying cause, something known in alternative circles for generations (millennia, if you read Hippocrates and Ayurvedic writings) and verified by recent medical research.

Inflammation

Inflammation plays a large in most diseases. It can help cause and perpetuate arthritis, cancer, heart disease, autoimmune diseases, and much more. Things that reduce inflammation include:

CHIROPRACTIC

When the skull isn't sitting on the neck properly, or when the first cervical vertebra is misaligned, cases the body to make more inflammatory substances via the cholinergic antiinflammatory pathway, via the vagus nerve. It also causes excess activity in the sympathetic nervous system, keeping one in a more highly stressed state.

DIET

Sugar and refined carbs help fuel inflammation. Foods rich in antioxidants, like dark colored vegetables, turmeric, ginger, boswellia and good fatty acids help reduce it.

EMOTIONS AND STRESS

Anger and frustration can help increase inflammation, partly due to how they affect the neuroendocrine system.The same for chronic and/or high stress. Happiness, joy, faith, setting and achieving goals, exercise, feeling centered, or part of something greater than one's self, and yoga and some things that can reduce it.
